College Internship Program
The BRB Contractors internship program
offers the ambitious student an opportunity to supplement
their class room education through real-world experience in
the construction industry. The internship exposes the
student to a wide array of professional interaction among
design engineers, project managers, field workers, clients
and related trades, exploring the role of each within the
project. Ultimately the program is intended to enhance each
student’s individual abilities and to assist them in
evaluating their fit as a future construction professional.
Internships are paid and are available
to college students at all levels majoring in construction
related degree programs including civil, environmental,
electrical and mechanical engineering, construction
management, construction science. Assuming that the
student is successful in their first session, the BRB
internship program is structured such that returning interns
are offered the benefit of receiving
reimbursement for educational expenses.
Each session, interns will have the
opportunity to work on one of BRB’s many heavy construction
projects, ranging from large water and wastewater treatment
facilities to bridges and underground pipelines. Interns
will be mentored by a project manager or project engineer
who will guide and supervise each student in accomplishing
his or her responsibilities and training. Most interns work
at BRB during their summer breaks between academic sessions,
however BRB is willing to work with the student and the
school to meet specific needs and availability.
The BRB internship program offers
numerous benefits to the student including obtaining
valuable work experience in the construction field,
increasing their confidence as a future construction
professional and enhancing their marketability when seeking
a permanent position; all the while earning a competitive
salary. For more information, contact
