The Safety Director, Project Managers, Superintendents and Field Operations Foremen shall have the full support of management in enforcing the provisions of this policy as it relates to responsibilities assigned to them. A safe job site is the responsibility of everyone on the jobsite. Any employee or subcontractor that observes an unsafe condition or practice has a duty to correct that condition or practice and to report immediately the unsafe condition or practice to a BRB supervisor. Weekly safety meetings and regular safety inspections are required and documentation of each is kept on the jobsite and in the BRB Corporate Office. If, in the Project Superintendent’s judgment, anyone on the job site is within an unsafe environment, the Project Superintendent shall immediately take steps to correct the unsafe condition, document the actions taken and ensure all personnel the unsafe area until the condition is corrected.

Our Director of Safety is a full time employee who is actively involved with the workforce through construction site visits, weekly review of required job site safety meeting reports, ongoing training, monthly newsletter articles on safety, administration of our drug policy, and the safety incentive program. We establish safety committees at each job site whose responsibility includes conducting Monday morning safety meetings to discuss and implement training to ensure safe practices and to inspect the jobsite on a continual basis to ensure safety at the jobsite. Regular safety inspections are made by the Safety Director with appropriate response to any unsafe conditions that are observed with immediate written documentation and follow-up visits to ensure that any unsafe conditions, if observed, are corrected immediately.
